The North End of Boston is rich in history and culture. The North End neighborhood of Boston is one of the oldest residential communities in this city which means it is full of history and culture. Due to it’s age, the North End has many historical attractions from Copp’s Hill Burying Ground to Paul Revere’s House to The Old North Church. If you are not a big drinker and want some after dinner coffee, there is Vittoria Café. Vittoria is a taste of Italy in the North End. Vittoria serves up some of the best Italian espresso in the city. This spot is filled with antiqued espresso and coffee equipment and the walls aligned with images of the past. It also features a full bar if you are in need of a little addition to your coffee.

For the sweet toothed visitors out there, the North End is filled with Italian bakeries. There is the famous Mike’s Pastries which has a line out the door every summer. If you are not in the mood for a long line, there is their rival up the street, Modern Pastry. To many from this area, there is a divide between Modern and Mike’s on who has the better cannoli. You be the judge. Both boast quality imported goods, handmade cookies and cakes, and hand filled cannolis. Modern will shortly be moving into a larger brand new facility next door which can better accommodate a large crowd as well
